Baron Philippe Tasting case (Six Bottle Case)
In the south of France, in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon, Baron Philippe de Rothschild’s winemakers have selected the areas with the best soil and climate for growing a range of International grape varieties. In the region around Limoux in particular, offering a patchwork of micro-terroirs, they have chosen the highest quality parcels and vineyards. All year round, each selected parcel is individually and permanently monitored by the Baron Philippe de Rothschild team
This tasting selection case comprises of six single varietal wines originating from Baron Philippe’s project in the south of France. In the way of white wines, there’s a fresh zippy Sauvignon Blanc and a nutty Viognier packed with stone fruits. The red wines that accommodate a lighter style, are represented by an elegant and fruit-forward Pinot Noir and a plush supple Merlot. To provide the case with some balance, we have included two wines with a bit more weight and power; a gorgeously rounded and juicy Cabernet and a peppery Syrah with bags of ripe black fruit. A diverse and an affordable case at less than £50, a perfect way to brighten up these gloomy months!

Chateau Peyre-Lebade 2010, A.C. Haut-Medoc£24.95 Buy After an hour in the decanter this wine reveals a nose of cassis, cigar box, tobacco and graphite. It's developed yet structured and will stand up nicely to some roast beef. The 2010 vintage was considered one of the greatest thanks to warm days and cool nights, and whilst Ch. Peyre Lebade 2010 shows very well now it does possess the ability to cellar for a few years.
Mouton Cadet Reserve 2017, A.C. Bordeaux (Six Bottle Case)Buy Classically styled with redcurrants, red cherry, bilberry and coffee bean on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with a touch of spice from the oak maturation and delicate red fruits deriving from the significant percentage of Merlot in the blend. The tannins are fine and sit firmly in the background allowing you to enjoy the supple elegant nature of this claret.
Aguaribay Malbec 2017, Mendoza Argentina (Six Bottle Case)Buy The nose offers ripe blackberry with chocolate shavings and black pepper. The palate is rich and fruit forward with bags of creamy cassis, blackberry, spice, and black tea on the finish.
